Bank of Baroda reduces other bank ATM usage to three
Customers will be charged after three transactions, down from a previous limit of 5 transactions
Mumbai: Public sector Bank of Baroda on Monday said its customers can now use the bank’s cards only three times free per month in other banks’ automated teller machines (ATMs), down from the five permitted earlier, in the six metro cities of Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangaluru, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.
The customers will be charged after the three free transactions, Bank of Baroda said in a statement, without mentioning the fees to be charged for overshooting the limit. Generally, the charge ranges between ₹ 15 and ₹ 20 for various banks.
However, there is no cap in free transactions for the bank’s own customers using Bank of Baroda ATMs.
The bank has more than 7,000 ATMs in the country.
