Sony India to roll out cheaper products

New Delhi: Sony India, which is positioned as a premium brand in the country, is increasing its focus on developing an affordable product range for the Indian consumer.

“Sony has always focused on consumers with an annual household income of Rs5 lakh and above, but now we have also started to look at consumers in the Rs2-5 lakh income group as there is a lot of potential in this category," Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony India, said at a press conference on Tuesday, where he unveiled a new range of digital cameras.
