Hotel-booking app RoomsTonite eBookings raises $1.5 million
RoomsTonite eBookings helps hotels sell unsold inventory at discounted prices for last-minute bookings
Bengaluru: RoomsTonite eBookings Pvt. Ltd, a last-minute hotel booking mobile app provider, has raised $1.5 million from investors led by Lashit Sanghvi, co-founder of Alchemy Capital; Nikhil Vora, founder of Sixth Sense Ventures; and Venkat Vardhan, promoter of DNA Networks, among others.
The platform helps hotels sell unsold inventory at discounted prices for last-minute bookings.
Mohammed Bin Abdul Rehman Al Khalifa, chairman of Caravan Group; Ralph Berezan of Berezan Group (Canada); and Vissal Mathew and Balamurali Krishna of IDS Software were also part of the fund-raising.
The company, founded by Suresh John in June 2014, has at least 200,000 downloads. It said it will use the funds to expand its services in India and abroad.
“While technology is at the forefront of what we do at RoomsTonite, our constant focus is to ensure that customers get the experience of real-time booking at a great price and to further help them with their last-minute travel plans through our platform," John said.
It has a partnership with 4,000 hotels across 325 destinations in India, RoomsTonite said in a statement.
