TCS to invest `550 crore to build Indore campus

Firm expects to complete the first phase of the project by March 2016

Mumbai: Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) said it will initially invest 550 crore to build the first phase of an integrated campus for technology and business process outsourcing (BPO) services in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The company said on Monday that it expects the construction of the first phase to be completed by March 2016. The land, allotted by the Madhya Pradesh government, will be a 100 acres property with a total development area of around 1.5 million sq. ft.

“Our investment will help catalyse further development of the talent ecosystem as well as help upgrade the civic infrastructure in the area," said S. Mahalingam, chief financial officer and executive director of TCS.
