New Delhi: Drug firm Pfizer Ltd posted a 20.91% increase in net profit at 58.16 crore for its fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.

The company had net profit of 48.10 crore for the January-March period of the previous fiscal.

Net sales of the company rose to 252.19 crore for the fourth quarter, compared to 251.74 crore in the Q4 of 2011-12, Pfizer Ltd said in a filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

For 2012-13, the company posted net profit of 503.20 crore, as against 184.61 crore in the previous fiscal.

Net sales of the company for the year ended March 31, 2013, stood at 947.98 crore, compared to 1,017.32 crore in the previous financial year.

The company scrip closed at 1,090 on the NSE, up 0.45% from its previous close.
