JPMorgan boosts Asia equity derivatives biz with top hires

Hong Kong: JPMorgan has hired ex-Goldman Sachs banker Kazuma Naito and former Morgan Stanley banker Ken Kishimoto to boost its derivatives business in the fast growing Asia Pacific region, the Wall Street bank said in a statement.

Naito has joined as managing director and head of Asia Equity Deriviatives Group sales and marketing and Kishimoto as the head of Japan equity trading, the statement added.

Naito will be based in Hong Kong and Kishimoto in Tokyo and both started work with JPMorgan in early June, the statement said.

Naito will report jointly to Mark Justh, head of equities distribution, Asia Pacific and William Lee, head of equity derivatives group, Asia Pacific. Kishimoto will report to Lee and Michael Green, head of Japan equities and Asia electronic trading solutions.

Naito worked with Goldman Sachs for 15 years in Hong Kong, London and Tokyo, most recently as managing director responsible for its pan-Asian Japan equity derivatives sales.

Kishimoto was responsible for managing Tokyo equity derivative products for Morgan Stanley.
