Bengaluru: Impactguru.com, a fintech start-up which offers crowdfunding solutions, raised $500,000 as seed funding from Singapore-based venture capital firm RB Investments and private investment platform Fundnel, the company said on Friday.

The company, which was incubated at Harvard Innovation Lab’s Venture Initiation Program in the US in 2014, will use the funding to scale social donation crowdfunding for non-profit, social enterprise and personal causes from non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin, the company said.

“We firmly believe that a full stack crowdfunding solution that combines social, rewards, and investment crowd-funding will make Impactguru a platform of choice for individuals, non-profits, social enterprises and start-ups for all their fund-raising needs,” said Piyush Jain, co-founder and chief executive of Impactguru.

The company also announced that Harvard Business School professor Ramana Nanda and Gaurav Gupta, regional director for Asia at advisory firm Dalberg, will be joining its advisory board.
