Chennai: Shriram Transport Finance Co. Ltd, India’s largest truck financing company, on Thursday announced the appointment of S. Lakshminarayanan as chairman of the company.
The decision to appoint him as chairman of the board of directors was taken during a board meeting held at Colombo on 24 January, the company said in a statement.
Lakshminarayanan has been an independent director of the company since September 2009. He holds postgraduate degree in science and chemistry and a postgraduate diploma from University of Manchester in advanced social and economic studies. He also holds an honorary doctorate on federalism from the University of Mexico.
