CDSL board adjourned without any decision

Mumbai: The board of Central Depository Services (India) Pvt. Ltd (CDSL), which met on Friday to discuss issues such as the purchase of Rs65 crore office space and the induction of new board members, adjourned without taking any decision, said two board members who did not want to be identified. The meeting has been postponed till next week, though no specific date has been announced, they said.

CDSL is in the midst of a bitter battle with its largest shareholder, Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. The latter wants to increase its stake in the depository to 51% from 36% and wants to induct its deputy chief executive officer Ashish Chauhan in CDSL’s board.
