Hindustan Dorr bags Rs77 cr order from Nalco

Mumbai: Engineering company Hindustan Dorr Oliver said on 6 September it has bagged a Rs77-crore order from National Aluminium Company Ltd’s (Nalco) for construction work at the latter’s alumina refinery at Damanjodi, Orissa.
The order is part of Nalco’s ongoing expansion at its alumina refinery at Damanjodi. Nalco is in the process of raising capacity from 1.575 million tonnes a year to 2.1 million tonnes, by adding a production line of 525,000 tonnes.
Hindustan Dorr Oliver would undertake design, residual basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction along with associated facilities and auxiliaries, Hindustan Dorr said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
This expansion project is designated as Nalco phase-2 expansion.
Nalco has appointed Engineers India Ltd (EIL) as its consultant and Hindustan Dorr would be executing the above order on lumpsum turnkey basis in 16 months.
