New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said on Tuesday that it had questioned T.V.S. Shastry and V.R.S. Natrajan, two former chairmen and managing directors of government-owned defence company BEML Ltd (formerly Bharat Earth Movers Ltd), and four other directors in connection with alleged irregularities in the purchase of trucks from Tatra Vectra Motors Ltd.

The six officials were questioned in Bangalore on Tuesday, an agency spokesperson said. “Relevant records pertaining to Tatra (were) collected," the spokesperson said without elaborating.

This case was registered by the agency in early 2012.

Tatra Vectra Motors is a joint venture between the UK-based Vectra Group and Czech firm Tatra Trucks.
