NDTV posts ₹27.81 crore net profit in March quarter
Revenue rose to Rs186.56 crore from Rs137.96 crore.

Mumbai: New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) posted a net profit of Rs.27.81 crore for the quarter ended 31 March compared with a loss of Rs41.33 crore a year earlier period.

“A number of factors have contributed to the turnaround," said Vikram Chandra, NDTV group chief executive. “We have been following certain efficiency measures that have helped control costs. Also, we have tried to find new revenue streams to reduce the dependency on pure FCT (free commercial time) ad sales. Digitization has also helped."
The company, which runs the NDTV 24X7, NDTV Profit and NDTV India channels, posted a net profit of ₹ .91 crore for the year ended 31 March compared with a loss of ₹ 87.38 crore in the previous year. Revenue rose to ₹ 26.81 crore from ₹ 83.37 crore.
