Idea Cellular’s non-executive director resigns

Biswajit A. Subramanian resigns on account of P5 Asia divesting 2.4% of its total 9.31% stake in Idea Cellular

Mumbai: Idea Cellular Ltd, India’s third largest telecom services provider, has informed BSE that non-executive director of the company Biswajit A. Subramanian has resigned effective 20 October.

Subramanian, who was a nominee of P5 Asia Investments (Mauritius) Ltd (P5 Asia), an entity of the Providence Equity group, and a shareholder of the company, resigned on account of P5 Asia divesting 2.4% of its total 9.31% stake in Idea Cellular on 3 September.

At 12.53pm, shares of Idea Cellular were trading down 0.34% to 160.50 apiece, while the benchmark Sensex was down 0.06% to 26,414.77 points.
