Godrej Consumer Products Q4 profit up 17.24% to Rs310.07 crore
Consolidated total income rises 8.46% to Rs2,269.07 crore from Rs2,092.02 crore a year ago
Mumbai: Household and personal care company Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) on Tuesday reported a 17.24% rise in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended 31 March, meeting analysts’ expectations.
The maker of Cinthol soaps and Hit insecticides posted a net profit of ₹ 310.07 crore, against ₹ 265 crore in the year-ago period. Consolidated total income rose 8.46% to ₹ 2,269.07 crore from ₹ 2,092.02 crore a year ago.
A Bloomberg poll of over 20 analysts had estimated a net profit of ₹ 312.2 crore and net sales of ₹ 2,270.70 crore.
Shares of GCPL fell 1.11% to ₹ 1,355 apiece on BSE, while the benchmark Sensex shed 0.81% to 25,229.70 points.
