Birlasoft appoints Mindtree’s co-founder Anjan Lahiri as CEO
Lahiri will be responsible for improving the company’s capabilities in the emerging areas of cloud and analytics
New Delhi: CK Birla Group, a $1.6 billion diversified business conglomerate, on Monday said it has appointed Anjan Lahiri as the chief executive officer (CEO) of its global IT services firm Birlasoft Ltd.
Lahiri, one of the co-founders of Mindtree Ltd, will be based at the company’s headquarter in Noida. He will be responsible for improving the company’s capabilities in the emerging areas of cloud and analytics and will lead a global workforce of over 4,000 employees.
Prior to joining Birlasoft, he was the CEO of Bengaluru-based Sasken Communications Technologies Ltd. He began his career with Wipro Infotech Ltd in 1987 and then joined Cambridge Technology Partners. In 1991, along with former colleagues from Wipro and Cambridge Technology Partners, Lahiri founded Mindtree Ltd.
