Tata Chem to invest $25 mn in Singapore firm
Mumbai: Tata Chemicals Ltd said on Tuesday its unit, Tata Chemicals Asia Pacific Pvt Ltd, has signed an agreement to invest $25 million in a Singapore-based jatropha seedling firm.
The Singapore firm, JOil (Singapore) Pte Ltd has been set up by the Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory Ltd along with other investors in Singapore, the Indian chemicals maker said in a statement.
The agreement is aimed at boosting Tata Chemicals bio-fuels foray and will give Tata Chemicals exclusive marketing rights for JOil’s jatropha seedlings in India and East Africa, it said.
