New Delhi: Eicher Motors Ltd-controlled Royal Enfield, the world’s fastest-growing motorcycle maker, has acquired UK-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance chassis and components Harris Performance.

“Under the terms of the deal, Royal Enfield will acquire all assets, employees, trade names, technical know-how and intellectual property of Harris Performance Products Ltd,” Royal Enfield said in a statement without disclosing the size of the deal.

Harris Performance also makes race bikes for Suzuki Motor Corp. and Yamaha Motor Corp., which go into grand prix and superbike events, says the company website.

Harris Performance developed the chassis of Royal Enfield’s newly launched Continental GT café racer motorcycle.

All staff at Harris Performance will now become employees of Royal Enfield. “They will be part of Royal Enfield’s upcoming UK Tech Centre,” Royal Enfield CEO Siddhartha Lal said.
