Results | GSK posts 17% rise in June quarter profit
Mumbai: GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd posted a 17% growth in net profit, which stood at Rs124.35 crore for the quarter ended 30 June, compared with Rs114.86 crore in the year-ago period. Total revenue of the company grew 10% to Rs479.95 crore in the quarter from Rs428.26 crore a year ago. Hasit B. Joshipura, managing director, said, “The company’s products during the quarter have achieved market competitive growth. Recent new launches including Arixtra, the antithrombotic agent, Rotarix, the rotavirus diarrhea vaccine, and Tykerb for refractory breast cancer are all tracking ahead of plan".

Ashok Leyland profit falls to Rs7.77 cr
New Delhi: Ashok Leyland Ltd said first-quarter profit fell to Rs7.77 crore from Rs50.57 crore a year earlier, according to a statement. Total income decreased from Rs1,895 crore for the year-ago quarter to Rs973 crore in the quarter under review.
