Mumbai: Vodafone India Ltd said on Monday that it has appointed Naveen Chopra, director of Vodafone Business Services (VBS), as the company’s new chief operating officer.

Chopra will succeed Sunil Sood, who currently holds this position, with effect from 1 April.

On 22 January, Vodafone India had announced that Sunil Sood will succeed Marten Pieters as managing director and chief executive of Vodafone India, with effect from 1 April.

Chopra joined Vodafone (then Vodafone Essar Ltd) in 2004 as vice-president—corporate marketing, and over the last 10 years, has served in various roles ranging from chief marketing officer of the company and as chief executive of Mumbai and Rajasthan circles, before joining the executive committee of the company as the director of VBS.
