Mumbai: The Walt Disney Co. is restructuring its digital assets in India.
A new division, DisneyUTV Digital, which combines the businesses of Disney, UTV and Indiagames, will now develop and manage content and brands across digital platforms, Walt Disney said in a release.
The division will be led by Vishal Gondal as managing director. Vishal will work in collaboration with another managing director Samir Bangara, the company said. Gondal and Bangara built Indiagames as a gaming company that has a 50% market share in the country.
Walt Disney acquired a controlling stake in UTV earlier this year.
