L&T, Thales sign pact on Hyderabad metro
Agreement signed to provide control systems for three lines covering 72km of track
Mumbai: Engineering and construction company Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T) said Tuesday it signed an agreement with the Indian unit of Thales Group to provide control systems for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project.
This will be for three lines covering 72km of track. The contracts reinforce Thales’ strong presence in high-potential growth markets, said Eric Lenseigne, vice-president of Thales India.
Hyderabad Metro Rail is a public-private partnership (PPP) project. L&T was awarded the project by the Andhra Pradesh government.
