InMobi appoints Marc Steifman as new CFO
Prior to joining InMobi, Marc Steifman was managing director at Piper Jaffray's Technology Investment Banking Group
Bengaluru: Advertising technology company InMobi on Wednesday named Marc Steifman as its new chief financial officer (CFO). He will replace Manish Dugar, who quit in May 2016.
Steifman has over two decades of experience in the investment banking sector. Prior to joining InMobi, he was managing director at Piper Jaffray’s Technology Investment Banking Group. Previously, he has worked with Jefferies and Co., Bear Stearns, and Prudential Securities.
At InMobi, he will join the executive leadership team and report to InMobi’s founder and CEO Naveen Tewari. He will be based out of the San Francisco office.
“The depth and breadth of his (Steifman’s) expertise will bring in the financial efficacy that InMobi currently needs, while we continue to scale up at exceptional speed," Tewari said.
Steifman’s appointment comes after InMobi’s recent $90 million acquisition of Los Angeles-based video ad start-up AerServ.
Steifman said he was “thrilled" to architect the ongoing inorganic expansion at InMobi. “The finance pillar is integral to any organization’s success, but when global boundaries don’t exist, the continually changing set of circumstances make financial decisions imperative to setting a global corporate strategy," he said.
