Colgate-Palmolive India appoints Vinod Nambiar chairman

Nambiar will replace Mukul Deoras, who has been named chief marketing officer of Colgate-Palmolive Co.

Mumbai: Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd said on Monday that Vinod Nambiar will replace Mukul Deoras as chairman with immediate effect. Nambiar has been with the company since 1999 in various roles in India and overseas.

Since 2014, Nambiar was vice-president and general manager of Colgate-Palmolive China Hub, which includes China, Hong Kong and Sanxiao. He has been in charge of the China operations of the company since 2012. A chemical engineer from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a management graduate from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Nambiar will be located in Hong Kong.

Deoras has been elevated as the chief marketing officer of Colgate-Palmolive Co. and will move to New York.
