Chennai: Eros International Media Ltd will partner with Oscar award winner A.R Rahman’s, YM Movies to produce a Hindi film. With this venture, the multi-talented Indian music composer will don the hat of film producer too.
The Mumbai-based media and entertainment company informed the BSE that it’s the first time Rahman has conceived the movie and written the basic story with help of international and local talent. The movie based on love, art and self discovery. The press release did not give details regarding the cost of producing the movie neither its name.
“It is a 16-year relation with Eros and this time it’s extending the role a bit more," said the Music Mastero in the press release.
Eros International’s shares closed at ₹ 128.55, up by 4.5 % while the benchmark Sensex was higher by 1.49 % to 19,229.84 points.
