Air India to start non-stop flight to Vienna from 6 April
This will be the national flag carrier's eighth European destination
Mumbai: State-run Air India Ltd will connect Delhi to Vienna, the capital of Austria, with a non-stop flight from 6 April.
This will be the national flag carrier’s eighth European destination.
Currently, Air India connects seven European destinations in five countries, including London and Birmingham in the UK, Frankfurt in Germany; Paris in France, Rome and Milan in Italy and Moscow in Russia.
The Vienna non-stop service will operate three times a week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with a Boeing B787 Dreamliner aircraft, Air India said in a statement on Friday.
Air India, with a code-share arrangement with Austrian Airlines, will replace the latter’s existing service to Vienna and will, as part of the alliance, offer connections to more than 25 European destinations from Vienna.
Air India flies to 35 international destinations across the US, Europe, Australia, the Far East, South-east Asia and the Gulf.
