Suzlon to invest Rs1,200 crore on 3000 MW renewable power projects in Telangana
Suzlon in January made its foray into the solar sector winning 210 MW projects from the Telangana through a competitive bidding process
Hyderabad: Wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy Ltd is planning to invest ₹ 1,200 crore to set up 3,000 megawatt (MW) power generation units of solar, wind and hybrid sources, said the Telangana government on Wednesday.
K.T. Rama Rao, information technology, panchayat raj and municipal administration and urban development minister, who was in Mumbai, met Tulsi Tanti, chairman and managing director of Suzlon and invited the group to invest in Telangana.
Rao assured the Suzlon group of all support from the Telangana government.

The Telangana government has been aggressively wooing investors with an industry-friendly industrial policy called the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-certification System (TS-iPASS), a single window for clearing all investment plans.
So far it has approved projects worth ₹ 33,000 crore, providing employment to 120,000 people.
