Corporate | TCS pursuing $700 mn deals in Latin America

Mumbai:Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, the country’s largest information technology services provider by revenue, on Wednesday said it was pursuing deals of up to $700 million (around Rs3,400 crore) in a reviving Latin American market.
“Currently, there are six-seven deals worth $100 million in our pipeline," TCS’ head of emerging markets Gabriel Rozman said from Argentina in a conference call with Indian mediapersons, adding that demand in Latin America was being driven by sectors such as telecom, banking, insurance, retail and manufacturing.
TCS has also expanded its presence in the region with a new, $2 million delivery centre in Buenos Aires with a seating capacity of 250.
