Dhingana raises $7 mn from Lightspeed Venture Partners, others
Existing investors Inventus Capital and Helion Venture also participated in the second round of funding
Mumbai: Music streaming company Dhingana has raised $7 million from investors led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Existing investors Inventus Capital Partners and Helion Venture Partners participated in the second round of funding.
With 15 million monthly active visitors worldwide, Dhingana is the largest streaming Bollywood and Indian music service across the globe, the company claimed in a statement on Thursday. Its music catalogue features 500,000 songs in 35 languages.
“We plan to use the current funds to build an even stronger team to innovate further and expand our marketing, sales and business development efforts," said Snehal Shinde, co-founder and chief executive of Dhingana.
