New Delhi: Force Motors Ltd on Wednesday said it would commence selling its off-road vehicle Gurkha from September.
Force Gurkha would be available for test drive from September. Bookings will also be available across the company’s personal vehicle dealerships from September, Force Motors said in a statement.
The vehicle, powered by the 2.6 litre Mercedes OM 616 engine, would be launched with various features including high ground clearance to negotiate extreme terrains, it added.
“The feedback received from auto experts and select group of users during test drives has helped us further fine tune the Force Gurkha into an extremely capable off roader," Force Motors managing director Prasan Firodia said.
The Pune-based firm said the vehicle would be sold across the country through its personal vehicles dealership.
The company, which sells various vehicles including Trump, Trax and the Balwan range of agricultural tractors, entered into the personal vehicles segment in 2011 with the launch of sports utility vehicle Force One.
Gurkha is slated to be the second vehicle offered in this category.
