New Delhi: A day after Star TV network was slapped with a show-cause notice over its recently launched reality show ‘Sach ka Saamna’, television broadcasters have asked the ministry of information and broadcasting to let viewers decide what they want to watch. The show came under fire from lawmakers on Wednesday for allegedly violating the programming code of the ministry, which asked Star Plus to explain why it should not be barred from broadcasting. The network allegedly violated a clause of the code that deals with programmes that offend good taste. The channel was asked to explain its case by 4pm on 27 July.
