The Royal Enfield Himalayan, a 410 cc bike tailored for mountain motorcycling, has been built on an entirely new engine platform
New Delhi: Royal Enfield, maker of the iconic Bullet motorcycles that have witnessed higher sales over the past decade, on Tuesday unveiled its Royal Enfield Himalayan, a 410 cc bike tailored for mountain motorcycling.
The new motorcycle is classified as an adventure tourer and has been built on an entirely new engine platform. The company claims it is built for the Himalayas (hence, the name).
According to Royal Enfield, the motorcycle, which will be launched in India in March, has been under development for two years and has been tested for its on-road and off-road capabilities.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to be priced at over ₹ 2 lakh.
