South Africa captain AB de Villiers hammered the second-fastest century in World Cup history as he led his side to a crushing 257-run victory over the West Indies at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday. Statisticians also had a field day following the game. Here are four milestones that were conquered and one which looks like it needs more time to:

1. South Africa raced to the second-highest World Cup total of 408 for five, behind only the 413 for five made by India against Bermuda, a non-Test nation, in Trinidad in 2007. This has also become the highest ever ODI score any team has managed to score in Australia.

2. AB de Villiers’ innings scored the fastest 150 in ODIs and now has the fastest fifty, hundred and 150 in ODI cricket—all coming against the West Indies. The fastest-ever World Cup century was made by Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien, off 50 balls, against England in Bangalore during the 2011 tournament.

3. This result also equalled the biggest winning margin, in terms of runs, at a World Cup match set when India beat Bermuda by 257 runs in 2007. In ODI history, this ranks at a joint fourth place for the same record and with the same match.

4. A 400 or more team total now remains to be hit only on two continents—South America and Antarctica. The 13 previous instances have seen teams breach the mammoth mark at Amstelveen (Europe), Johannesburg (Africa), Potchefstroom (Africa), Indore (Asia), Rajkot (Asia), Port of Spain (North America), Sydney (Australia), Kolkata (Asia), Aberdeen (Europe) and Gwalior (Asia)

5. The West Indies with their loss have made sure one milestone was still not conquered. They have never chased down a total of 300 or more runs in their ODI history, ever.
