F1 roadshow in Delhi

New Delhi: With traffic being diverted everywhere and traffic police waving away trespassers, Delhi sure made way for Formula 1 cars that zoomed in at Rajpath Sunday. ING Renault F1 Team organised a mega spectacle for the first time ever in India. With thousands cheering for the Megane Trophy cars, Toon cars, Sky divers, motorized paragliders, the ING Renault F1 team roadshow was quite the event. The roadshow is a multi-city world tour, conducted in 5 to 6 select cities across the world every year. The event was organized to commemorate 700 days to go for the Commonwealth Games.

Suresh Kalmadi, President of Indian Olympic Association was present at the occaission. He said, “For the third youth Commonwealth Games, all 71 countries came. That shows the interest level about India. So we know that for the Commonwealth games in India how many countries are going to come, so it’s a mammoth task and to get Delhi ready for it. We are having all these events, so that Delhites give the best Commonwealth Games ever."
