Carat appoints Sujata Dwibedy to head Rs550 crore Mondelez account
Dwibedy will lead the Mondelez account at Carat in India while working closely with Carat's Asia-Pacific team on the business
New Delhi: Media agency Carat India has appointed Sujata Dwibedy as executive vice-president overseeing its 550-crore Mondelez business.
Mondelez India (formerly Cadbury India) sells chocolates, beverages, biscuits, gum and candy under brands such as Cadbury Dairy Milk, Bournville, 5Star, Perk, Bournvita , Tang, Oreo and Halls.
Carat won the account in October from Sam Balsara’s Madison World, which managed it for more than a decade.
Dwibedy, who comes with 17 years of experience, will lead the Mondelez account at Carat in India while working closely with Carat’s Asia-Pacific team on the business.
Prior to this, she was head of business development at Omnicom Media Group. She earlier worked with media agencies such as Starcom India, Vivaki Exchange, Lodestar and the research and information company Nielsen India.
“I have always aspired to work on brand Mondelez. It is a matter of great pride for me that I will be able to leverage my planning, research, buying and strategic skills for a brand of this stature," Dwibedy said about her new role.
According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council, in the week between 30 April and 6 May, Cadbury occupied the sixth spot among the top 10 most advertised brands with 11,290 insertions.
Carat Media, a part of Denstu Aegis Network, manages accounts of firms including Pfizer Magnum, ministry of tourism, General Motors, Microsoft, diaper brand Libero, Mattel Toys and JSW Steel, among others.
