Mid-Day Multimedia Ltd’s Radio One FM 94.3 has appointed Vehrnon Ibrahim as its national programming head. Ibrahim moves from Red FM Digital Radio (Mumbai) Broadcasting, where he was national programming head. Prior to this, he has held key positions in programming, including a stint at Radio Indigo, the FM venture of Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s Jupiter Capital Pvt. Ltd.
Pranesh Misra, global director of marketing accountability, Lowe India, has been invited to join the World Effie Festival Supervisory Board as a board member for 2008. Misra has also been invited to be on the panel of judges for the final round of Effie USA.
Patrick Brett, CEO, South East Asia and India, Saatchi and Saatchi, has announced changes in the company’s Indian agency. Managing director and CEO V. Shantakumar will be made chairman. Executive director S. Ghosh will focus on Celsius 100, the independent consultancy division of Saatchi and Saatchi. Kamal Basu, executive vice-president, Mumbai, will take over as CEO. He will be supported by Sanjib Dey, executive vice-president, Delhi, and Ayan Chakraborty, vice-president, Bangalore.
Vidhu Sagar has been appointed head, north and east, Carat Media Services Pvt. Ltd. Sagar was earlier with Draft-FCB-Ulka Advertising Pvt. Ltd, where he spent six years.
Flytxt, a mobile advertising and marketing solutions company, has appointed Sanjit Chatterjee to head global sales. Based in New Delhi, he joins as director, global sales. He has previously worked with Indiatimes, Net4India and NIIT.
