Google celebrated the 86th birthday of screen legend Nargis, who was the most searched on Monday with a whopping 2 million searches, by dedicating a vintage black-and-white film-style doodle of the actress. Nargis, born Fatima Rashid, was a child star before becoming one of Bollywood’s most glamorous leading ladies through the ’40s and ’50s.

2. CHSE Results


The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha declared Odisha Class XII results on 1 June.

3. CET results


The results for Common Entrance Test (CET) were declared in Karnataka for students seeking admissions into medical, engineering and other under-graduate courses.

4. Sanjay Dutt


On a day when his mother was the most searched on Google, Sanjay Dutt too figured on Google trends. Apart from family, friends and fans, several filmmakers are waiting for the actor to step out of jail so they can sign him for their upcoming films.

2009 champion Roger Federer reached the French Open quarter-finals after completing a comfortable win over Gael Monfils.

6. Windows 10


Microsoft’s much-anticipated Windows 10 operating system will be available from 29 July, the company has stated. Microsoft customers running Windows 7 or 8.1 can upgrade to the new system for free from the end of July, across 190 countries.
