Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has cleared roughly half a dozen investment proposals worth 3,000 crore in total, including a project of chip-maker Intel, ahead of a high-profile investor summit starting in Bengaluru this week.

Intel Technologies India Pvt. Ltd’s 1,100 crore expansion project at Devarabeesanahalli in Bengaluru’s IT corridor outer ring road, will generate 3,000 jobs, the government said in an official statement.

The ‘State High Level Clearance Committee’, a single-window clearance system which looks into projects worth more than 100 crore, approved eight acres for the project at a meeting chaired by chief minister Siddharamaiah on Monday.

The meeting also cleared a 1,307 crore information technology project by Velankani Electronics Pvt. Ltd for manufacturing electronic products in Bengaluru’s electronic city area. The government claimed that the project is likely to generate 2,400 jobs.

These were just two of the projects that the government cleared at the meeting.
