NBFCs will offer borrowers periodic refinancing by aligning their debt repayment obligations with the cash flows generated by projects
Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday allowed non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) to restructure loans to infrastructure and core industries, treating them on par with banks.
The move was made after requests from NBFCs, RBI said. Under the new rules, NBFCs will offer borrowers periodic refinancing by aligning their debt repayment obligations with the cash flows generated by projects.
