“With this, MCX-SX is now geared up to list shares of companies that are already listed on other exchanges and of those companies proposing to come out with initial public offerings," the exchange said in a statement.
While the listing of a company generally requires signing an equity listing agreement, a provision in the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act allows bourses to directly admit certain stocks that are already listed on other national-level exchanges.
