A competition that saw the best of Indian and Latin cuisine

On today’s show we have Rohini Dey, owner of the Indian-Latin restaurant -Vermillion, which is based in New York and Chicago.

Rohini was in Delhi recently to host a cooking competition called “Cook-off" to select two chefs for her restaurants. The competition, was held in Mumbai on 23rd April and in Delhi on 30th April, and was judged by the likes of Shabana Azmi and Sharmila Tagore.

Rohini, who is also a former World Bank economist and McKinsey management consultant, tells us more about the competition, why did she come all the way to India to select the chefs and how did food happen to her.

The winner from Delhi, Himanshu Saini, tells us how did he club sarson-ka-saag with Latin dishes, and won this competition.
