Who would have thought that when you buy your daughter a two-wheeler as a Diwali gift this season, you would get to fly with her to any destination across the country? Though not every manufacturer is jumping onto the goodies distributing bandwagon, those that have, have done it in some style. We bring you a list of some smart Diwali deals from the electronics and auto industry:
Goods by the tonne
For the festive season, Lenovo has launched the Lenovo 3000 Y410 notebook. The notebook comes with an audio DJ function that allows you to listen to music even when the laptop is switched off. Along with the purchase of the Y410, the company is offering one lucky customer the chance to win a shopping voucher worth Rs1 lakh that can be redeemed at any of the Future Group outlets, such as Big Bazaar and Pantaloons, and guaranteed gifts such as headsets, DVDs and speakers, with all the variants of the model. Prices start at Rs50,000, and the scheme is valid till Diwali day.
One for everyone
Intex, an IT hardware and electronics company, is offering a gift scheme where you can get a free strolley bag with an Intex DVD player (starting at Rs3,790), an Intex subwoofer 4800W with an Intex mobile phone ultima i1770 (Rs14,500) and watches and headphones with Intex notebooks (starting at Rs24,900). The offer is valid till 10 November.
A razor-sharp deal
With any of the Motorola GSM mobile phones, the company is offering customers the chance to win more than 7,00,000 prizes under a special festive offer. The choice of phones ranges from the W2205 (Rs1,733) to the Motorazr V8 (Rs15,500). The grand prize is an Audi A6 car, though new Motorola users can also win TVS Star motorbikes, Motorokr E6 cellphones, Fast Track sunglasses, Motorola wristwatches and bags. The scheme is valid till 15 November, on all GSM phones purchased from authorized retailers, distributors and Motostores.
Dinner over TV
Samsung India has launched the “Har Ghar Mein Khushi, Har Ghar Mein Samsung" offer, where the company is promising that gifts worth Rs35 crore will be distributed. Buy any Samsung audio, video or home appliance, and you are sure to get glass sets or dinner sets. With all LCD TVs of 32-inch and above screen size, you get Tata Sky set-top boxes and installation coupons. This offer is also available on the “Easy View" flat TV that was launched last month. The prices of these TVs range from Rs10,000 to Rs22,500.
Whirlpool offers all customers a chance to win 30 home makeovers as part of its “Magic Chalao, Dream Home Sajao" offer. The makeover consists of free design consultation from leading interior designers and architects for the lucky winners. Apart from this, the offer also includes assured gifts and home insurance to all customers for one year.
A four-wheel deal
Philips offers new buyers the chance to win 63 cars (51 Maruti Alto, 11 Maruti SX4, 1 Grand Vitara) as part of its “Rocket Jalao, Gadi Chalao" offer. In addition to this, there are assured gifts with all consumer electronic products. For instance, if you buy an HD Philips LCD TV (Rs89,990) you get a free aromatic lamp float, or if you purchase the DVD player DVP3166 (Rs3,990), you get a free chip and dip bowl.
