Cooking with Lounge | Mad about mutton

1/2 kg mutton leg, boneless

250g red onions, sliced

30g ginger-garlic paste

3-4 cloves

2-3 green cardamom pods

3-inch cinnamon stick

1tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder

1tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

200g curd, whipped

Salt to taste

1 tbsp ghee

2 tsp reduced milk (khoya)


Take a fresh pan. Put it on the fire, add the boneless pieces of mutton followed by onion slices. Mix well. Put the cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, red chilli powder and turmeric. Add the ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder and salt to taste. Put in 200ml water, mix thoroughly and cover with a lid.

Cook on slow fire till the water evaporates, or for around 40 minutes. Add whipped curd, reduced milk and ghee. Ensure the meat is cooked properly and take off the pan. Garnish with onion rings and serve with Indian bread.
