Companies such as PepsiCo Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales Inc., along with websites like Mashable Inc., already have pages on Google+.

For brands, this is obviously an important development, but for individuals too the presence of brands will create greater activity on Google+ and perhaps drive up the number of users on the network. The reaction to Google+ so far had been that the new network looked great and worked well, but had little content.
