Cooking with Lounge | Kerala-style prawns

Serves 4

INGREDIENTS

500g prawns

2 tbsp lemon juice

1tbsp coconut oil

10-12 curry leaves

60g onion, chopped

1tsp cumin seeds

1tsp garlic, chopped and pounded

For marinade

2tsp red chilli powder

1tsp turmeric

Salt to taste

15g ginger-garlic paste

To garnish

Fresh coriander leaves

Freshly grated coconut

Fried curry leaves

Method:

Cut the prawns into small pieces and marinate the prawns with turmeric, chilli powder, salt and ginger-garlic paste. The prawns can be marinated just before cooking.

Heat oil in a wok, add cumin seeds and chopped onion. Fry the onions until pink. Add the curry leaves.

Put in the marinated prawns and add the lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes.

Garnish with freshly grated coconut and fried curry leaves.
