Creators of popular mind-bender game Two Dots and Dots have come up with a third game called Dots & Co. What made the first two games so popular was their simple yet tricky style of play and the regular updates which added new rounds to the game. Dots & Co is similar to the first two games in many ways, but the graphics looks slightly better, and a new character, Game Companion, has been added that will accompany you throughout the game with regular comments on your performance.

Challenging gameplay

The game works on the same principle of connecting two dots of the same colour. To connect dots one has to tap and hold on one dot and drag the finger over all the other dots of the same colour. The game is divided into short but challenging missions where the player has to bag a given number of dots in all the colours to move to the next level. Interestingly, one has to finish the tasks within a limited number of moves. As the game progresses the number of moves decreases and the number of dots increases. The game has some key tricks which can speed up things. For instance, connecting dots to create a square can help user connect far off dots better.

The Game Companion can help you by connecting a few dots for you automatically every time her power bar is filled. Users can fill it by connecting the triangular companion dots which are placed in between the regular dots. The game works only when you have energy. It fills automatically after a given time period or you can buy it from the game’s store. As of now, the game has 155 levels but with future updates more levels will be added. The Two Dots came with 100-odd levels at first but after a few updates had over 700 levels.

The game has a unique option for colour blind users. This adds some unique symbol in the dots of a particular colour for identification.

The basic interface looks a bit plain in comparison to the likes of Candy Crush which looks a lot funky. The layout keeps changing though and so the dots are not always embedded within a square box. These unique shapes gives every round a new look.

Is it worth downloading?

If you like puzzle games, you will like the Dots & Co game. It is challenging and fun to play. More importantly, you can play it on the most basic Android smartphones. Also, it doesn’t require Internet connection so you can play it anywhere. The game takes up less than 100MB after installation and is available as a free download.
