Bangalore: Shares rose 0.1% in early trades on Monday led by the country’s top lender, State Bank of India, after it posted better-than-expected quarterly profit.

At 9:16 am, the 30-share BSE index was up 0.1% at 19,026.60 points, with 17 components gaining.

The 50-share NSE index was up 0.2% at 5,707.
