Mumbai: The new mutual fund platform on National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened Monday with 316 transactions accounting for Rs7.76 million. Among 30 schemes and 92 sub-schemes of UTI Asset Management Company available under the system, the most active scheme was UTI Opportunities Fund with 90 orders.

Eighteen trading members have so far registered with the exchange to offer the service to investors. Other fund houses in the country such as Tata Asset Management Ltd, Birla Sunlife Asset Management Ltd., Prudential ICICI Asset Management Ltd, Reliance Capital Asset Management Ltd and FIL Fund Management Ltd have approached the NSE to make their products available on the new trading platform.
