NIIT Technologies up most in 16 months

Mumbai: Computer services provider NIIT Technologies Ltd rose to its highest level in 16 months in Mumbai trading after second-quarter profit more than doubled from the previous three months. The shares closed up 2.72% at Rs130.35, after rising as much as 9.1% in early trade, the highest since 19 June 2008.

Net income was Rs26.06 crore in the three months ended 30 September, compared with Rs10.3 crore in the first quarter, the company said on Tuesday in a statement to the National Stock Exchange.
