BackInfosys allots 114.84 crore bonus shares
Shares have been allotted to those shareholders whose name appear on the register of members/register of beneficiaries as on 16 June

New Delhi: IT major Infosys Ltd on Thursday said it has allotted 114.84 crore bonus shares amounting ₹ 574.23 crore in the ratio of 1:1.
“...the Board of Directors allotted 114,84,72,332 equity shares each aggregating ₹ 574,23,61,660...as fully paid-up bonus shares in the ratio of 1 equity share for every 1 equity share held" Infosys said in a filing to BSE.
The shares were allotted to those shareholders whose name appear on the register of members/register of beneficiaries as on 16 June 2015, it added. Bonus shares are free shares given to the existing shareholders of a company.
The company had announced 1:1 equity bonus in April, following which shareholders now have twice the number of shares they had earlier, but the price of each scrip halved with the decision taking effect.
