The Sensex closed lower amid weak quarterly results from Lupin and Bajaj Auto, and profit booking
Mumbai: India’s stock markets ended 0.5% lower on Thursday after hitting their highest intra-day level in more than three months, dragged down by stocks such as Lupin Ltd and Bajaj Auto Ltd amid weak results and profit booking.
The BSE Sensex ended down 0.47%, or 134.09 points, at 28,370.84, while the Nifty ended 0.51%, or 43.70 points, lower at 8,589.80, after earlier marking their highest intra-day level since 17 April.
